Meeting upon arrival in Panama City, transfer to hotel. Depending on your arrival time, the remainder of day will be at leisure or an optional tour can be arranged.
Today you will have an amazing opportunity to kayak in the Panama Canal watershed. After a quick safety lesson your guide will lead you in navigation into the Canal Zone. Paddle through Soberania National Park and witness lush primary rainforest; keep your eyes open as this area is home to an abundance of wildlife. After great day on the water transfer to the local airport for a flight to Boquete located in the highlands of Panama. This area of Panama is considered the cloud forest and receives pleasant weather and is also a great area for adventure activities. Transfer to your hotel. (BL)
Today feel the rush of whitewater rafting on class IV rapids. Transfer to the boarder of Costa Rica and Panama; enjoy stunning view of the highlands and the valleys below on the drive before arriving at the rivers lunching point. Your guide will provide an introduction and safety class before entering the river. Enjoy the exhilarating ride down the river while discovering the areas flora and fauna before arriving at an area that we will stop for lunch. After lunch there is a great spot for swimming or some nice rocks to relax and enjoy the warm sun. Return to hotel. (B, BL)
After breakfast depart from the hotel in a 4×4 and drive to Baru National Park where you will begin a trek on one of the most stunning trials in all of Central America. The Quetzales Trail offers many different elevation and landscapes allowing you to discover many different varieties of trees, plants, birds and mammals. Return to hotel for overnight. (B, BL)
After breakfast depart by car from Boquete to the Islands of Bocas del Toro. Along the way we stop at Los Cangilones de Gualaca, a beautiful natural swimming pool that you can enjoy a refreshing plunge. Continuing on we will pass the continental divide before we head down from the highlands and arrive at the pier. Board a water taxi that will take you to Isla Colon where you will have the opportunity to discover and explore the islands over the next two nights. Transfer to hotel and enjoy the facilities and the beach. (B)
Today you will visit the Bastimientos National Marine Park and have a chance to snorkel with bottlenose dolphins and observe a variety of other tropical fish. Relax on the beach or explore the mangroves in search of wildlife. (B)
After breakfast transfer to the airport. Meeting upon arrival in Panama City where we will explore the Casco Viejo (old town) of Panama . Climb to the top of the Cathedral tower, visit the old Panama Musuem and the Casco Antiguo which dates back as far as the 1600’s. After some time to wander the streets of old town we will visit The Miraflores Locks at the Panama Canal. Here you will have the opportunity to see massive cargo ships enter the locks at sea level and begin the first part of raising the ships to move through the canal. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing along the canal zone to the to the town of Balboa. After some time to explore we will return to Panama City. (BL)
This morning transfer to the shores of Madden Lake where you will board a motorized pirague (dugout canoe) and travel up the Chagres River to the Embera indigenous village of Embera Drua. The journey will led you through Chagres National Park and the watershed that protects The Panama Canal. Once we arrive at the Embera Village you will be met by locals who will teach you about their customs, their way of life and the important relationship they share with the environment and nature. The locals love music and dancing, embrace the opportunity to dance the native dance among them or allow yourself to be painted with natural dyes in a tradition called Jagua. Enjoy a traditional lunch with the villagers before returning to Panama City. (BL)

The Panama Canal Authority has the final say at to what time the tour starts and the direction that you travel, it will not be determined until 24 hrs prior to departure. Your local guide will coordinate the time with you once they are informed.
The domestic flights within Panama have a weight limit of 25 pounds per person. It is recommend having a small bag or suitcase that will allow you to bring a few days worth of close to the islands. The rest of the luggage can be stored at your hotel in Panama City.
