Welcome to Rio de Janeiro, also know as “Cidade Maravilhosa, The Wonderful City”. Rio is nestled between the mountains and the sea and is home to the worlds best carnival celebration. Meeting and transfer to your hotel. This afternoon enjoy the breathtaking landscape and the incredible relaxed vibe that Rio is know for as we set out to discover the world famous beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema where it would be hard to imagine a better place to people watch. Continue to the base of Sugar Loaf Mountain and ride the cable car to the top and enjoy the city from a birds eye view.
This morning explore one of Wonders of the World, The statue of Christ the Redeemer crowning the top of Corcovado mountain offering stunning views of Guanabara Bay, Sugar Loaf and the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema below. The adventure starts with a train ride that zig zags its way up through the lush Tijuca Rainforest where its possible see monkeys and parrots in the trees. Once on top you will have ample time to admire the views. Remainder of day at leisure to explore on your own. (B)
After breakfast you will head south to Ilha Grande (‘Big Island’), a beautiful island sanctuary. Transfer by boat to the island, upon arrival transfer to your hotel. This afternoon enjoy an island orientation tour. (B)
Today explore the amazing beaches on the island and the Blue Lagoon, a beautiful swimming area. (B)
This morning transfer by boat to Paraty a small colonial town located on the mainland of Brazil. On the way to Paraty you will have the opportunity to go swimming and explore some pristine beaches. End the end of a relaxing day you will arrive at Paraty, transfer to hotel. (BL)
Enjoy a journey back in time as your guide takes you on a tour around Paraty, a UNESCO World ́s Heritage site and one of the most beautiful and some of the most well preserved Portuguese colonial architecture. Learn about the history of a time when Paraty was an important harbor that was used as one of the main ports to load the precious stones and gold of Brazil that was being shipped to Portugal. Afternoon at leisure to explore on your own. (B)
After breakfast transfer back to Rio de Janeiro for your last night stay in Brazil. Explore on your own or perhaps treat yourself to a dinner Samba show for your last night on the town. (B)
