From the very first moment you arrive in Belize, whether you are an adventure seeker, honeymooner, re-grounding on a wellness retreat or creating fond memories on a family vacation, you will notice that the people of Belize are some of the happiest and friendliest people you will ever meet. With a culture that’s so warm and inviting, traveling to Belize will have you smiling and swaying to the beat of reggae music before you have even claimed your luggage.
There are two main focal points when planning a Belize vacation package. The first is the mainland of Belize which consists of the highlands and the rainforest. This area is a thrill seeker’s dream come true. You can rappel into deep caves, zip line over a dense rainforest, scuba dive into cenotes, float on a tube through some of largest cave systems in Central America, take a hike through the jungle, whitewater raft through deep gorges, explore ancient Mayan ruins and witness so much wildlife that you will think that you’re staying at a zoo rather than a hotel.
The second highlight is the coast and the Caye’s (Islands) just off shore. There are hundreds of islands and cays but two of them grab most travelers attention: Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker, both accessible by water taxi or by air.

Ambergris Caye is the larger and more popular of the two because of its superior selection of accommodations and a livelier night life. Caye Caulker is more laid back and has a rustic feel to it. It’s perfect for that person looking to be a beachcomber. Less than a mile boat ride off shore you will find the second largest and arguably the most impressive barrier reef in the world. The Caribbean waters are crystal clear with visibility up to 200 feet and loaded with so much marine life it will feel as if you’re swimming in an aquarium instead of the open ocean. You will find some of the best snorkeling and diving anywhere on the planet. Dive at the famous Blue Hole that measures almost a 1000 feet across and is more than 400 feet deep. Maybe that’s not your thing, no need to worry. There are plenty of watersports available to meet every adventure level as well as just relaxing on the white, soft, sandy beaches.
Belize is a lost paradise that will have you yearning to discover so much more than you originally set out for; no worries if you don’t have time to see it all the first time, you’re going to be back!
